Job Description:
Team Development:
- Direct the team in conducting research on new products and new materials.
- Provide guidance and support to the R&D team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Project Development:
- Plan and execute research and development activities for new products and new materials.
- Coordinate and supervise the implementation of research at production scale.
- Ensure the readiness of raw materials and other resources needed for research.
- Update the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) based on research data.
- Oversee and ensure the execution of product sensory testing and related reports, including summarization and analysis.
- Oversee and ensure the execution of shelf-life testing for new products and materials, including summarization and analysis.
- Manage each research project to ensure completion within the established deadlines.
Improvement:
- Coordinate the team in developing prototypes, conducting experiments, and evaluating products.
- Ensure timely preparation of product samples as requested.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, QA/QC, maintenance, and procurement to ensure seamless project execution.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare reports on experimental results upon the completion of research.
- Ensure monthly stocktaking is performed.
- Create, analyze, and report on the progress of product development to supervisors.
Training:
- Provide training and guidance to the R&D team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Budgeting Control:
- Monitor project budgets to ensure expenses remain within established limits.
Education:
- Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology.
Experience:
- Minimum Requirement:
- At least 1 year in a similar position or at least 1 year as a Team Leader in the food & beverage industry.
- Experience in sensory evaluation and shelf-life testing of products.
