The Junior Designer supports the Art Director in the delivery of quality creative design and production in a variety of forms and in line with the company’s brand guidelines.
With an eye for details and a creative mindset you help visualise the activities of the company for internal and external audiences, designing and editing graphics and illustrations for use in technical materials and publications, online, in social media. In exhibition booths and more.
To ensure the company keeps accurate records and safely files its artwork and digital materials you will also support the development of an appropriate archiving and filing system.
Job Descriptions:
- Under the direction of the Art Director design a variety of materials to help deliver the global corporate communications strategy or specific campaigns including, but not limited to, advertisements, annual reports, artwork, books and their covers, brochures, logos, magazine covers, signs, stickers, tee shirts, web pages and other branding and communication materials
- Meeting or communicating with internal stakeholders to understand what they want out of a project, and helping them get those ideas out in a workable way;
- Revising a design brief so it fits the available budget and ideas more closely;
- Creating designs by hand, drawing or painting—or using computer software to achieve similar ends;
- Pitching an idea of how to realise a project;
- Revising a design or project deliverable to meet specifications;
- Learning how to use a new software or program;
- Working as part of a team to create a larger design, or to complete a small portion of a big project, such as perfecting a unique font;
- Finding other creatives like photographers, writers or illustrators for a specific project;
- Plan concepts by studying information and materials
- Assist Art Director in daily tasks and deadlines
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Advertising/Media or equivalent.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform well and remain organised under tight deadlines
- Solid concept and design skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under tight deadlines and high volume
- Pay close attention to detail and apply expertise in the creative suite, including InDesign CC, Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Premiere CC and After Effect CC Microsoft Office, and Acrobat
- A self-starter and has an exceptional sense for great design
